Plutarch Heavensbee

Plutarch Heavensbee

Plutarch is a master of both the technical games and human psychology. Ironically, he is here for power and money just like Coin and Snow. But he aims at the big picture, bigger than what Coin and Snow had in mind. He wants to keep low profile and remain on the good side of the next ruler. He also has this child-like aspect that loves the fun and validations..

I am very interested in the character of Plutarch Heavensbee and I keep wondering when did he join the rebels and why, his interactions with Snow and the Capitol while he was still a spy, and the way he viewed those around him. Unfortunetly, there is few written material on this topic, so I would like to hear your personal headcanons. The "Plutarch Heavensbee!!" scene was iconic. Plutarch not only got Snow, he was brilliant enough to fool him, which was not easy, as Snow was incredibly wily. Awhile back, I read a fan observation that Plutarch was loyal to democracy, and to some extent Katniss. It made so much sense that this is the framework I view his actions in. He supported Coin when it seemed she would be a better ...

If you consider that scene from the movie canon, then in fact it was Plutarch that switched them (possibly still it’s Snow’s knowledge). To my knowledge, there aren’t any rumors based in fact about what ... Plutarch Heavensbee has been, for several years, part of an undercover group aiming to overthrow the Capitol. for several years, part of an undercover group. Which means Katniss and Peeta weren't the direct influence for overthrowing Snow, just the triggering catalyst. In Mockingjay, Plutarch isn't phased or shocked at all during Finnick's ... Like Plutarch quoting Heraclitus explains, our Plutarch can obviously see beyond the facade of the Capitol and has saved himself the naïvety of a child, not accepting Snow's sardonic cynicism about how the world works. This is aided by another fact that helps Plutarch Heavensbee being such a great propagandist and manipulator in the first ... That alone tells you that Plutarch isn't willing to completely let go of the haves-and-have-nots dynamic of Panem. He benefits too much from it. Plutarch Heavensbee Motivations After reading Mockingjay, the character of Plutarch particularly interested me tbh He was definitely on the morally right side and seemed to care about that, but it seemed like from time to time Collins would slip in indications that he was power-hungry in some ways.
