Overeem at that point was obviously a beast but he does also look incredibly stupid and amateurish standing in front of Saki on the ropes with his gloves up, wondering when he should just step into his area of advantage rather than come up with a clever way to get there. I guess it's sort of a trap 'analysts' might fall into. They get alot of mileage out of identifying good. It favored grapplers, a lot of the top Japanese guys were grapplers & a lot of the imports (barring the elite BJJ Brazilian guys, and beast HW American wrestlers) were strikers, made for some dull first rounds at times, lots of circling and looking for single legs to. Also Overeem has the great striking but has been more much wrestling orientated lately so Volkov may not be as comfortable with his striking when he is constantly worried about the takedowns.
